JON HAINER
Chief Financial Officer / Administrator / Writer / Producer
Jon Hainer is an executive with more than 25 years of experience in a variety of fields. His recent projects involve expert witness testimony on banking, finance and forensic accounting matters. He provides litigation support services including preparation of deposition and trial questions, analyses of financial statements and of other accounting records. He writes business plans, marketing studies, and implementation plans for revamping and refinancing troubled manufacturers. He is currently co-founder and CFO of a specialty food company, Peanut Better, Inc. He previously served as Interim CEO of BankerStore, Inc., a start-up, web-enabled (.com) professional services firm. Hainer is a columnist for a newsletter for independent banks. He provides application services for "de novo" (new) banks and consulting on strategy, planning, and marketing for existing banks.
Hainer¹s experience in the banking field extended over two decades. He worked for The Sakura Bank Limited, Los Angeles Agency, as its Senior Vice President, Co-Department Head in charge of the domestic Corporate Finance effort in the Western U.S. for this large Japanese Bank. In this capacity, he tripled the number of clients and increased the office¹s return on assets by more than 250%. He more than doubled the corporate finance department¹s annual income to $8 million on $2 billion in commitments and $600 million in outstanding loans. Prior to working for Sakura, Hainer worked for a large German bank, DG BANK, Los Angeles Branch as its Vice President, Deputy Manager. Earlier still, he worked for Continental Bank of Chicago, both in Chicago and Los Angeles.
Hainer was graduated with an MBA from UCLA¹s Anderson School. He was also graduated cum laude from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin with a BA degree in economics.
